Latvian Naval Aviation 1936

1. Fairey Seal
Serial no. 29, Latvian Naval Aviation, June/July 1936. This aircraft, which carried the construction number F.2115, was the lefthand aircraft in the formation flown on Colonel Indans' 1936 flight around Northern Europe. Piloted by Naval Quartermaster-Sergeant Janis Grinbergs with Latvian Aviation Regiment Captains Nikolajs Balodis and Aleksandrs Tomass as navigators. The aircraft is finished in Pale Aluminium or Off White overall, with Black upper fuselage. Struts are also finished in Black. Dark Red Latvian Ugunskrusts crosses appear in four wing positions and on the fuselage sides. The serial number and rudder anchor are Black.

2. Fairey Seal Landplane Conversion
Serial no. 101, 8th Squadron (Naval), Latvian Aviation Regiment, 1937. The aircraft is finished in Pale Aluminium or Off White overall, with Black upper fuselage. Struts are also finished in Black. Dark Red Latvian Ugunskrusts crosses appear in four wing positions and on the fuselage sides. The serial number and rudder anchor are Black. This machine, bearing the construction no. F2112, was previously serialled '26' in Latvian Naval service.
